Terms And Conditions

Deep Cleaning Kingston Service Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Deep Cleaning Kingston provides professional cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By booking or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

Client means the person, company, or organisation booking or receiving the services.

Company means Deep Cleaning Kingston, the provider of the services.

Services means any cleaning, deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, after builders cleaning, or related services supplied by the Company.

Premises means the property or location where the services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract between the Client and the Company for the supply of services, incorporating these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

The Company provides deep cleaning and associated cleaning services tailored to the Client’s requirements as agreed at the time of booking. The specific tasks, frequency, and duration of each visit will be confirmed in the booking confirmation.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Company’s services are limited to cleaning tasks and do not include repair work, maintenance, or any work that requires specialist licences or qualifications.

The Company reserves the right to decline work that it considers unsafe, unlawful, or beyond the reasonable scope of a professional cleaning service.

3. Booking Process

Bookings can be made by contacting the Company and providing details of the Premises, the type of service required, and any relevant access information. The Client must ensure all information provided is accurate and complete.

The Company will confirm acceptance of the booking verbally or in writing. A booking is not finalised until the Client has received a booking confirmation from the Company. The Company may request photographs, an inventory, or additional information to provide an accurate estimate for services such as deep cleaning or end of tenancy cleans.

For larger or more complex services, including substantial post-renovation or after builders cleans, the Company may arrange a pre-service visit or consultation. Any estimate provided before such a visit is indicative only and may be adjusted following a site assessment.

The Client is responsible for informing the Company of any specific priorities, areas of concern, or items that require special care at the time of booking or, at the latest, before the commencement of the service.

4. Estimates and Pricing

Prices are based on the information provided by the Client, including the size and condition of the Premises and the type of service requested. The Company may adjust the final charge if the Premises differ significantly from the description provided by the Client or if additional work is requested.

All prices will be stated in pounds sterling and, where applicable, inclusive or exclusive of VAT according to current UK regulations. Any change to VAT or other applicable taxes may result in an adjustment to prices.

Where services are charged by the hour, there is a minimum booking period. If the work is completed earlier than expected, the minimum booking charge still applies. If additional time is required to complete the agreed tasks to a professional standard, the Company will seek the Client’s consent to extend the booking and adjust the charge.

5. Payments and Invoicing

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. The Company may require full or partial payment in advance, especially for one off deep cleaning services, end of tenancy cleans, or large scale bookings.

For regular services, the Client may be invoiced on a recurring basis, such as weekly or monthly, depending on the agreed schedule. Payment must be made by the due date shown on the invoice.

The Company accepts standard UK payment methods as advised during booking. The Client is responsible for ensuring that payments are made on time and for any bank or transaction charges imposed by their payment provider.

If payment is not received by the due date, the Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts, suspend services, or cancel future bookings. The Company may also recover reasonable costs incurred in pursuing overdue payments.

6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Access

The Client may cancel or reschedule a booking by providing reasonable notice. The minimum notice period for cancellation or rescheduling without charge will be confirmed at the time of booking. If the Client fails to provide the required notice, the Company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, which may be up to the full amount of the scheduled service.

If the cleaning team attends the Premises and is unable to gain access, or if the service cannot be carried out due to circumstances within the Client’s control, the visit will be treated as a late cancellation and may be charged in full.

The Company may cancel or reschedule a booking due to staff illness, operational issues, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, the Company will endeavour to offer an alternative appointment as soon as reasonably possible and will not be liable for any indirect loss resulting from the cancellation.

7. Client Obligations and Access

The Client must provide safe and reasonable access to the Premises at the agreed time, including keys, entry codes, or instructions where necessary. The Client is responsible for ensuring that any alarm systems are disarmed or that the Company has the necessary information to enter and exit safely.

The Client must ensure that the Premises are in a condition suitable for cleaning. This includes removing or securing valuable, fragile, or delicate items and making the areas to be cleaned reasonably clear of personal belongings, rubbish, or obstructions.

Where cleaning requires utilities such as electricity and running water, the Client must ensure that these are available for the duration of the service. If essential utilities are not available and the service cannot be completed, the Company may treat the booking as a late cancellation.

8. Health, Safety, and Conduct

The Company is committed to operating in accordance with applicable UK health and safety regulations. Cleaning operatives will use appropriate products and equipment and will follow reasonable safety procedures while on the Premises.

The Client must inform the Company in advance of any known hazards at the Premises, including structural issues, hazardous materials, or any other condition that may pose a risk to cleaning staff. The Company reserves the right to withdraw staff and suspend services if it considers that health or safety is at risk.

The Client must ensure that occupants, visitors, and pets do not interfere with the cleaning staff while services are being carried out. Aggressive, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of services.

9. Cleaning Products, Equipment, and Standards

Unless otherwise agreed, the Company will supply its own cleaning products and equipment suitable for the services booked. If the Client prefers the use of specific products or equipment, this must be agreed in advance and provided by the Client at their own risk.

The Company aims to deliver services with reasonable skill and care and to a standard consistent with professional deep cleaning services. However, results may vary depending on the condition of the Premises, the age and type of surfaces, and prior maintenance.

While the Company will use reasonable efforts to treat stains and marks, it cannot guarantee complete removal of all stains, especially older or permanent damage. The Company will not be responsible for pre-existing damage or wear and tear that becomes more visible after cleaning.

10. Waste Handling and Environmental Regulations

The Company will handle general household and light commercial waste generated during the course of cleaning in accordance with applicable UK waste regulations. Any waste removal beyond what is reasonably incidental to cleaning must be agreed in advance and may incur additional charges.

Hazardous, medical, industrial, or regulated waste is outside the standard scope of the Company’s services. The Company reserves the right to refuse the handling or removal of any substance that it reasonably believes to be hazardous or in breach of environmental, health, or safety regulations.

The Client is responsible for ensuring that any waste left on the Premises prior to the service does not pose a risk to staff. If unsafe or non compliant waste is discovered, the Company may suspend the service and charge for time spent on site, and the Client will be responsible for arranging lawful disposal.

11. Damage, Liability, and Insurance

The Company will take reasonable care when providing services. In the event of accidental damage caused by the Company’s staff, the Client must notify the Company as soon as reasonably possible, and in any event within 48 hours of the service, providing full details.

The Company maintains appropriate insurance cover for its operations, subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the relevant policy. Liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the services shall, to the maximum extent permitted by law, be limited to the value of the particular service during which the incident occurred or the amount recoverable under the Company’s insurance, whichever is lower.

The Company will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of enjoyment, or loss of opportunity. The Company is not responsible for normal wear and tear, pre-existing defects, or damage resulting from the use of unsuitable or faulty materials or equipment provided by the Client.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

12. Complaints and Service Issues

If the Client is dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, they must inform the Company as soon as possible, and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the service. The Company will review the complaint and may arrange a revisit to address reasonable concerns.

The Client must provide clear details and, where appropriate, evidence of the issue. The Company’s ability to investigate and resolve complaints may be limited if the Client delays in reporting or if further work has been undertaken by third parties after the service.

13. Keys, Security, and Confidentiality

If the Client provides keys or access codes, the Company will take reasonable measures to ensure their safe handling and storage. Keys will be labelled in a way that does not directly identify the Premises.

The Client must notify the Company immediately if any keys or access devices supplied to the Company need to be changed or cancelled for security reasons. The Company is not liable for any loss arising from security changes that were not communicated.

The Company will treat personal and property related information with appropriate confidentiality and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Information will only be used for the purpose of delivering and managing services or as otherwise required by law.

14. Force Majeure

The Company will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such delay or failure results from events, circumstances, or causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, transport disruptions, strikes, accidents, or public health emergencies.

In such circumstances, the Company will aim to resume services as soon as reasonably practicable and may offer alternative appointment dates, but shall not be liable for any indirect loss suffered by the Client.

15. Variations to Terms

The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. The latest version will apply to new bookings from the date it is issued. For ongoing regular services, the Company will provide reasonable notice of any material changes.

Continued use of the Company’s services after such notice will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or their subject matter.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any written booking confirmation or specific service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the provision of services and supersede any prior discussions, understandings, or arrangements, whether written or oral.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary or removed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
